Supply Chain Product Lifecycle Manager

Summary

The Product Life Cycle ( PLC) manager is a world-wide analyst with end-to-end supply chain responsibility for selected printer models in the Consumer Printer Division (CPD) at Lexmark International. They are the supply chain ‘go-to’ for production/supply, new product introduction, and end-of-life decisions for their models. They drive supply chain decisions and improvement from a comprehensive life-cycle view of the products as well as CPD’s overall strategy.

This position requires close coordination with supply chain planning teams across the world as well the sales, development, and engineering departments in Lexington. The PLC will also manage relationships with printer manufacturers on supply chain activities. Travel to China, at most once a year, will occur.

This position provides good exposure to management and executive management and is a good higher-level opportunity for supply chain professional who is a self-starter and detailed oriented.

Detail

  • Responsible for smooth transitions between old and new printer products
  • Coordinates the new printer production ramp up plans
  • Ensures the weekly production plans created by the planning team align with our sales forecast and inventory objectives, and minimizes excess inventory
  • Manage supplier relationships and is escalation point for supply chain issues
  • Sets manufacturing capacity with engineering team
  • Presents updates to management and executive management
  • Takes on short and long term projects to improve Lexmark's supply chain

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required, MBA preferred
  • +5 years experience in supply chain / logistics related position required
  • Experience and understanding of MRP/DRP required
  • ISM and/or APICs certifications a plus
  • Experience with Manugistics or SAP a plus
  • Experience with consumer electronics supply chain a plus
  • Must be able to cross-functionally work and coordinate with a number of different people and departments.
  • Project management skills are required
  • Position located at Lexmark International headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky
