Educational Programs
and Professional Certification

The Bluegrass Chapter of APICS offers a wide range of classes that are tailored to individuals seeking to understand the basic concepts of resource management as well as those who are seeking professional certification. All of these classes are offered on a regular basis at convenient locations in the Bluegrass. They can also be offered at individual businesses that have enough participants to make up a minimum class size. The four programs offered are:

Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP
)
Fundamentals of Materials and Operations Management
Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM)

The APICS CPIM provides an in-depth look at the production and inventory activities within the internal operations of a company. Individuals will learn to increase profitability by maximizing the inventory investments of their organizations.

The APICS CSCP takes a broad view of the supply chain extending beyond internal operations to encompass the entire supply chain from the supplier to the end consumer, examining how to effectively manage the integration of these activities to maximize a company’s value chain.

The Fundamentals of Materials and Operations Management (FMOM)program offers an exciting classroom-based, instructor-led educational opportunity for people new to materials and management operations—or people working in positions that interact with this field.

APICS CIRM is a comprehensive educational program designed to help you understand the power of collaboration among organizational resources such as product development, marketing/sales, human resources, finance, and operations. The APICS CIRM program enables you to effectively interact with cross-functional departments for more strategic decision making, enhanced collaboration, and improved productivity.
