Certification Maintenance

The APICS Certification Maintenance program prepares you for the challenges ahead by preserving the currency of your hard-earned certification credentials. It is necessary for all certified members to renew their certification every 5 years. This assures that everyone will keep their professional knowledge current.

This can be accomplished in 4 basic ways. The first is through continuing education such as seminars, conferences, taking related classes or even passing the certification exams again. The second approach is through teaching classes, making presentations or publishing books and articles. Another approach is by serving on committees or as an officer at the local, regional or national level. The fourth approach simply involves maintaining membership in APICS. All of these activities must be directly related to resource management.

As a result, it is possible to maintain certification by keeping up membership in APICS, attending 6 local meetings per year and taking a seminar or class once a year.

Customers in today’s marketplace expect high quality, low prices, fast turnaround, and on-time delivery. To compete successfully, organizations must improve supply chain management performance. As a result, well-trained,
